Romantic, the Glamorous Beauty

Some women are sensual in appearance and in nature, meaning they give great attention to the elements of taste, smell, touch and visual appeal. These are the kind of women you want to be around when you need comfort because they care deeply and they have a gift of hospitality.

Like the orchid, this woman’s beauty is glamorous and captivating, but sometimes hard to bring to bloom. Orchids will not share their astonishing flowers with the world if they are not cared for properly. They need sun and water like any other flower, but caring for them is very intricate.

This tropical flower generally needs warmth but must have a change in climate or they will not bloom. They need to be in the sun but cannot take direct sunlight. They need to be watered slowly and precisely because too much or too little water will keep their flowers from showing.

Vulnerability makes or breaks the Romantic’s beauty

The beauty of the Orchid and of the Romantic are unmistakable. With round, luscious features and bright coloring, this Beauty / flower will take your breath away when in full bloom.

You need to study the Orchid if you are going to succeed in drawing out its amazing qualities because some like to be root-bound in order to bloom; others like the freedom and drainage of loose soil. The Romantic’s beauty is particular as well. Both the plant and the woman will endure poor conditions, but when on the defense, neither will share the beauty they have to offer. An Orchid will fill its pot with its large leaves and empty stems; the Romantic woman will fill her life with serving others without really offering her heart to them.

It is not unusual for Romantics to fall prey to abuse. Perhaps their compassionate and giving nature makes them more apt to believe that others are gentle and generous like them; or perhaps it’s their selflessness that makes them a naive target. I don’t know, but many Romantics have been deeply wounded by those who have mistreated them and when this Image Identity shuts down, she may still become hardhearted and guarded. When the Glamorous Beauty stuffs away her vulnerability, she hides the deepest, most beautiful part of her.

The Orchid is another example of how environment affects beauty.

This is why it’s important to understand our children’s Img.ID. How we raise our children will influence their confidence, strength and beauty –but more on that to come.

Bitterness will change a heart–especially a sensitive heart. Whether you are a Romantic or not, I encourage you to consider how you respond to confidence conflicts. Do you feel the need to control something in your life? Do you let your feelings control you? Are you aggressive or passive? We each deal with life according to our experiences, personalities and the coping mechanisms that we have learned. Whether you shut down, feel defeated, discouraged or desperate, your response is a good indicator of what your personal Image Identity , (or Img.ID) is.
