Does your Beauty Speak Authenticity?

authentic beautyWomen are like flowers. They are beautiful and their presence alone can create an atmosphere for those around them. Like all living creatures, flowers–and women–have various species.

Some flowers are strong and colorful, others are simple and sweet. The style of their beauty determines the atmosphere that they create.

A vase of wildflowers makes a room feel completely different than a Hawaiian bouquet does. Put the wildflowers in a cape cod cottage and the guests there will feel relaxed and free to enjoy the sand in their shoes. But the guest of an exotic resort will feel disappointed if the flowers in the foyer don’t greet them with a powerful presence. No matter the style of beauty, it should make others feel comfortable and refreshed.

That’s why we give flowers to hurting hearts. A dozen roses is a classic statement of love, a single orchid speaks of strength and luxury, but give a cluster of baby’s breath alone and your friend will wonder what on Earth you are trying to say to her.

Beauty speaks; and so should yours.

Authenticity is the key to making a statement that others believe and receive. If your beauty is like that of a rose, yet you dress with the casualty of a daisy, then people will not believe you are competent. If you are a casual beauty that puts her hair in a bun and dresses professionally, then very likely you may be judged as a prude. They key to being authentic is understanding yourself. And for a woman, a major part of who you are is your beauty. This does not make you vain, shallow or self-absorbed. Lay aside all the twisted-Truths that you have been taught about beauty being vain. Forget what others say about how you should look. What is your true self? Are you:

  1. Gentle and creative
  2. Sensitive and sensual
  3. Proper and professional
  4. Demonstrative and determined
  5. Casual and carefree
  6. Animated and focused

Whatever your style, your image should compliment your personality, not compete with it.
